Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport (BUQ) serves Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second city, and sits about 20km north of the centre. It is the usual arrival point for trips into Matabeleland and a common starting point for onward travel towards Hwange and Victoria Falls.
